Dizzy dip and swirl.
The room moves.
Hips shake,
throat tilting back.
Laugh.
I am soaring,
floating,
dancing,
living.
Pulse pounding in the sway of music,
in the taste of salt on my tongue.
Lemon,
bitter sweet.
Simple surrender.
Pulse pounding in the white lights,
bright lights,
golden bathing life lights.
Kaleidoscopic.
Surrealistic.
Swirl on dizzy dance
floating in, out and around.
Easy bliss.
Simplicity of letting go.
Life in the air
singing of this so rare moment.
And that pulse underlying -
rhythmic,
mesmerizing,
dizzyfying,
intensifying.
Adrenaline and alcohol.
Life living in the moment.
This sweet vertigo swallowing like slumber.
I follow the pulse,
control abandoned.
Abandonment ripe in the taste of seltzer
and ice
and rum sliding cool
and welcome down my throat.
Whiskey sour.
Flick of wrist and tilt of glass,
moment of coursing flame,
hard swallow while the lights dance,
slight choke and laugh.
I follow the pulse -
bright eyes in the mirror shine,
slightly swaying step,
hands unfamiliar on my waist.
I follow the pulse.
Flirt because it feels good,
because it means nothing,
because it can.
Dizzy dizzy dip and swirl
and even the walls dance,
even the air sings,
even my hands make music.
Lights bright and dark,
flashing before my eyes,
and I
am
free.
